Bassem Eid is the founder of the Jerusalem based Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group and the chairman of the Center for Near East Policy Research. He is an expert on human rights policies of Palestinian Authority, abuses of human rights in both Palestine and Israel and he is an outspoken critic of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement. Bassem is also travels widely to lecture on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in numerous countries including US, Canada, Italy, Japan, and South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Recently, he presented his research on UNRWA to the British Parliament’s Henry Jackson Society. He is also a recipient of multiple awards and is recognized as the leading Palestinian human rights activist.
