Sunday August 6, 1-4 pm in Oak Park and River Forest.

Are you curious about native gardening?

Join us for an afternoon of exploration to learn more about what native plants are, how to grow them and how to include natives in your garden plans. The tour will include public and private native gardens at the peak of the season where you will see a how vital and attractive native plants are to birds, bees and butterflies. Unique plants for shade, sun, rain gardens, clay soil and other applications will be highlighted.

Oak Park Temple’s Native & Community Gardens will be on the tour! Don’t miss out.

Biking the tour is encouraged! The tour begins at the Cook County Forest Preserve where you check in and pick up your map for the self-guided tour.
