- What is the Oak Park Temple Retreat?
It's a chance to connect with your congregation and community in a fun, activity-filled three-day weekend at a camp in Wisconsin.
- Is this retreat right for me?
Absolutely! We have adult learning and activities, special programming for 6th-graders, a kids program for other ages, babysitting for the littlest, and socializing for everyone. If you’re seeking a closer sense of community with your congregation, or just some fun away from home, this retreat is definitely for you. - What activities are available for kids?
Babysitting. (Ooh, sorry, that's an activity for adults.) Robin Arbetman and Marci Sperling Flynn will be programming a wide range of fun activities for kids of all ages.
- Where is the retreat located?
The retreat is located at the Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (Camp OSRUI) near Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, about 2 ½ hours from Oak Park Temple. Click here for directions to the camp.
- What are the accommodations like?
Each room has at least two beds and a private bath. There are some adjoining rooms. Register early to get the room you want
- What does it cost?
Adults (18 and above) - $175
Ages 13-17 - $85
Age 12 (6th graders) – free
Ages 2-11 - $55
Under age 2 - $25
Singles surcharge - $55 - Seriously, Wisconsin in March?
Some years it has been 70 degrees, some years not—just like any spring in the Midwest. Come prepared for anything.
