September 1 marked our second annual Nature Shabbat. We met at a former schoolhouse on the site, then walked through the 80-acre nature preserve, which is considered the finest blacksoil prairie east of the Mississippi River. We walked through wildflowers taller than our heads. It is a beautiful morning experiencing nature and considering our tradition's thoughts on our stewardship of the natural world.
The morning concluded with lunch and kiddush on the deck afterwards.
