As the year winds down, the Auction Committee is working harder than ever to plan the 2014 Auction.  They are busily working on finding items to auction, planning menus, designing the room and finalizing the entertainment.
Historically, the auction is held every other year and is our main fundraiser – 315 people attended the last auction and we raised $40,000.  This year our goal is to top that, and to attain that goal we need YOU.

We need you to donate items, volunteer your time, and most importantly, we need you to attend the auction — and bring all your friends!  Make sure to mark your calendar for February 1, 2014.

Do you have a summer home? A valuable work of art?  Season tickets to a sporting event? A precious wine collection or other item that you are willing to donate for auction this year?  Everyone has something of value to others and donation to the auction would be a great contribution to our cause. It’s a wonderful and creative way to help support our temple and preschool.

This year there is one more way in which you can help. You may remember the Sukkah-inspired structure that was in the rotunda during the high holidays. On the structure we had some amazing works of art created by our own Gregory Kowalsky.  One of these fantastic images will be available for bidding at the auction.  We need your help in deciding which one.

Please go to http://auction.oakparktemple.com/vote.html and vote for your favorite work of Gregory Kowalsky’s art. The one with the most votes will then be available at the auction – perhaps you’ll be the one with the winning bid!

I look forward to seeing you at on February 1, 2014 at the auction, it will be an evening to remember.
